Prenatal Class

Don't wait until the baby is screaming at 2am to figure this out. Our 2-hour prenatal breastfeeding class covers everything you wish someone had told you before leaving the hospital. Taught by a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).

$95 per couple · Monthly cohorts

"I called them at 11pm when I was ready to give up. They talked me through everything, and by morning we had a latch. I didn't think that was possible."

Who We Are

NYC moms deserve NYC-level support.

Lactoliscious Consulting LLC is a team of IBCLCs and Certified Lactation Counselors (CLCs) based in New York City. We started this practice because we saw too many new moms getting a pamphlet and a "good luck" — and we knew we could do better.

We specialize in latch difficulties, low supply, oversupply, returning to work, pumping, and everything in between. No judgment, no pressure — just practical support that actually works for real life in a real city.

What Moms Are Saying

Honestly, we should have called sooner.

"The telehealth option was a lifesaver. I'm on maternity leave alone all day — I can't schlep anywhere. They diagnosed a tongue tie over video and referred me to the right specialist."

Mei L.

"Paid over Venmo, booked on Instagram, had someone at my door by Saturday. Most efficient thing about my entire postpartum experience."

Questions

Stuff people actually want to know.

Do you accept insurance?
We are currently cash pay only — we do not bill insurance directly. We accept cash, Venmo, and other cash apps. If your insurance plan reimburses out-of-network lactation services, we're happy to provide a receipt you can submit yourself.
How soon after birth should I call? +
As soon as you want. Many families contact us before the baby arrives for a prenatal session. For breastfeeding support, the earlier the better — ideally within the first week. But we've also helped moms who are three months postpartum and struggling. It's never too late.
What if I just want to exclusively pump? +
100% valid choice and we support it fully. We offer dedicated pump consultations covering flange sizing, output optimization, storage, and scheduling. Exclusive pumping has its own learning curve and we're here for all of it.
Do you cover all NYC boroughs? +
We offer in-person home visits in Manhattan and Brooklyn. For everything else — Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Long Island, New Jersey, and beyond — telehealth is available with no travel fees. Same great support, no commute required.
Can my partner join the consultation? +
We encourage it. Partners, grandparents, co-parents, doulas — whoever is part of your support system is welcome. Breastfeeding is a team effort and the more people who understand what's happening, the better.
What if I'm not sure breastfeeding is working? +
That uncertainty is exactly why you should call. We do infant weight checks, latch assessments, and can observe a full feeding to give you real data — not just reassurance. If something needs to be addressed, we'll tell you. If everything is fine, we'll tell you that too.
